Assaf Frankel Aventus Review (2026): How It Smells, Lasts and Compares

NITIK Verma8 min read

An honest look at Assaf Frankel Aventus for Indian buyers: how the Saudi Aventus-style perfume smells, how long it lasts and when another bottle makes more sense.

FragFreak review cover, Assaf Frankel Aventus, a fruity and smoky woody perfume for men.

Frankel Aventus brings more shoppers to FragFreak than any other Assaf perfume, and the name tells you exactly why. It is a Saudi take on one of the most imitated men's perfumes of the last fifteen years. The real question is how a ₹3,279 bottle from a lesser known house handles that style. Here is what we can say honestly about the smell, the performance and the value, and when another bottle makes more sense.

Short answer: Assaf Frankel Aventus is a fruity, smoky woody perfume from the Saudi house Assaf, made in the direction of Creed Aventus. The 100 ML bottle costs ₹3,279 at FragFreak, about a tenth of the ₹33,999 Creed Aventus. Expect around 6 to 8 hours on skin in Indian weather, with strong projection at the start. There is no decant of it yet, so if you are new to this style, test it first with Club de Nuit Intense Man, which costs ₹4,249 for 105 ML or ₹439 for an 8 ML.

  • What it is: Assaf's Aventus-style perfume, part of its Frankel line from Saudi Arabia.
  • The smell: pineapple and bergamot up top, a jasmine and woody heart, then oakmoss, musk and vanilla.
  • Performance: strong for the first two hours, then close to the skin. Around 6 to 8 hours in Indian heat.
  • Best for: evenings, dinners and the October to February months.
  • Know this: independent reviews are still scarce, and published note lists vary between sellers.

What does Assaf Frankel Aventus smell like?

Be careful with any single note list for this perfume, because published pyramids vary between sellers. Our listing and a Middle East retailer's listing for the Frankel gift set both describe the familiar Aventus-style structure: pineapple and bergamot with a sharp fruit note on top, jasmine with birch or patchouli in the heart, and oakmoss and musk at the base. Retailers sum up the character as bold, smoky and fruity-woody. A few single-bottle listings online show a different citrus, violet and vetiver pyramid, and we could not confirm which is current. Almost every listing, whichever pyramid it uses, agrees on a warm amber, musk and vanilla base.

The opening is a sharp, fruity burst of pineapple, bergamot and blackcurrant. It is the most recognisable part, and the reason the name fits.

The heart brings jasmine and birch, which adds a light smoky, slightly floral edge.

The base settles into oakmoss, musk and vanilla. The vanilla is the main twist. It makes the drydown warmer and a touch sweeter than the drier, mossier finish most people associate with the original.

How long does it last in Indian heat and humidity?

There is very little independent performance data for Frankel Aventus, so treat these figures as a guide rather than a promise. Sellers quote anything from 6 to 10 hours for the Frankel line, and our own listing puts it past seven hours, with strong projection early that softens into a skin scent.

In humid Indian weather, plan on about 6 to 8 hours on skin. In a cool, air-conditioned office or a Delhi winter it should hold longer, and on a shirt or jacket longer again. Two or three sprays is plenty. Like most perfumes in this style it is loudest in the first two hours, so go easy before a meeting or a crowded lift.

When and where to wear it

Evenings and dinners: where it fits best. The sweeter, warmer base suits the evening.

Weddings and festive nights: a good choice for a sangeet or a reception in the cooler months, when you want a confident scent that still reads clean.

Winter: October to February is its sweet spot in most of India.

Office: fine with one or two sprays. In a small shared cabin, a fresher scent is the safer choice.

Summer: sweet, smoky fruit in 40 degree heat can feel heavy. Keep it for mornings and air-conditioned days.

How does it compare with Creed Aventus?

Frankel Aventus is clearly positioned in the direction of Creed Aventus. The shared idea is the pineapple and smoky birch opening over a mossy base. Where it seems to differ, going by its listed notes, is the vanilla in the base, which should make it rounder and sweeter than the original's drier finish. We have not seen enough independent side by side reviews to say how close it gets, so we will not put a number on it.

Price is the clear difference. Creed Aventus costs ₹33,999 at FragFreak, about ten times more. If you are choosing between the many affordable takes on it, our best Creed Aventus alternatives in India ranks the main options, and our Club de Nuit Intense Man vs Creed Aventus comparison covers the best known one in detail.

Against the in-stock bottles in the table, the short version is this. Club de Nuit Intense Man is the most often compared and the most widely reviewed. Supremacy Silver is drier and smokier. Supremacy Collector's Edition is smoother and more floral. Frankel Aventus sits on the warmer, sweeter side, at the lowest full bottle price of the four.

The other Frankel perfumes

Assaf's Frankel line has a few siblings, and they smell nothing like each other.

  • Frankel Imagination (₹3,279, 100 ML): orange and pink pepper, black tea and blackcurrant, then patchouli and guaiac wood. Spicy and tea-like, good for cooler evenings.
  • Frankel Silver (₹3,279, 100 ML): a clean citrus and green scent. Our listing names orange, bergamot and green tea over sandalwood, jasmine and musk. The lightest of the line, for daytime and summer.
  • Frankel Storm: a darker iris, patchouli, leather and vetiver scent. It is out of stock at the moment.

Price, size and the decant question

Frankel Aventus comes in one size at FragFreak: the 100 ML bottle at ₹3,279, which works out to about ₹33 per ML. There is no 8 ML decant of it right now, so it is more of a commitment than most of our Aventus-style options.

Here is the sensible route. If you already know you like this style, the bottle is fair value, and it is the cheapest full bottle in the table above. If you have never worn it, spend ₹439 on an 8 ML of Club de Nuit Intense Man or ₹559 on an 8 ML of Supremacy Collector's Edition first. Wear it for a week. If the pineapple and smoke work on your skin, Frankel Aventus is an easy next step.

Verdict: who should buy it

  • Buy it if you already like the Aventus style and want a full bottle for less.
  • Buy it if you prefer a warmer, slightly sweeter take with vanilla in the base.
  • Buy it if you enjoy trying lesser known Gulf houses that most people around you will not recognise.
  • Choose Club de Nuit Intense Man instead if you want the most proven, widely reviewed option.
  • Skip it for now if you need a decant before buying, or a light scent for summer days.

It is a reasonable buy for someone who knows the style. For a first try, start small with a decant of something proven, then come back to it.
